Car and vines

done awhile ago, long forgotten and passed my weekly deadline of posting blogs.

Oh well, next is place some materials.

Vines grow and stick to a shaking car. The car finally restores position after rigid body dynamics. Previous version the car kinda ‘broke’ and rested slightly to the left (disjointed from the wheels it seemed). I’m quite pleased the dynamics rarely exploded or collapsed on itself. Btw, the four wheels actually rest on the floor by collision dynamics, no animation fixes involved there.

I’m making another shot of a killer whale breaching the surface. I thought that was my bosses’ joke, but realized it’s real when I’m assigned to make the effects. Director seems to want the animation done by himself, I’m not sure, but I had to make a basic movement of the whale, otherwise the splashes won’t look integrated. And some particles only emit if the whale actually hit my ocean plane. It’s basically four splash components, lots of particles (i mean LOTTTS). Still fixing how it should look before my compy dies of particle overdose again.

Below is the scripted paint effects vines growing on BMW car with shaking dynamics.
